Acupuncture

Moxibustion and acupuncture are both collectively referred to as "acupuncture."

Acupuncture is the term used to describe the use of acupuncture tools (typically milli needles) inserted into the patient's body at a specific angle under the guidance of TCM theory to stimulate particular parts of the body using twisting and lifting techniques to treat diseases. The body's site of penetration is known as the acupoint or acupuncture point.

Moxibustion involves the cauterization and fumigation of certain places on the body's surface with prepared devices or herbs to treat and prevent disease through heat activation.

Chinese Herbs

In a broad sense, Chinese medicine includes plants, animals and minerals, which means that anything that can be injected into the human body is in the category of Chinese medicine, because as long as it contains the five elements of human life, namely fat, protein, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins, all substances should be Chinese medicine, and the human body survives and continues to live in the balance of these substances.

Chinese medicine is the same source of medicine and food, which is in line with the essence of Chinese medicine. Chinese medicine can go from food, spices, mild drugs, to more toxic drugs, which is a slow and excessive relationship. The measure of Chinese medicine is "bias", which is similar to the concept of the strength of action of a drug. Chinese medicine treats diseases by "correcting the bias" through Chinese medicine.

Cupping

Cupping is an alternative therapy in which the cup is applied to skin by creating negative pressure, causing congestion. Modern cupping mostly uses vacuum cupping instead of traditional fire cupping, which increases safety and preserves the effect without the occurrence of flame injuries.

The principle and efficacy of cupping lies in the following:
1. Capillary dilation makes the blood flow faster and enhances the body's metabolism.
2. Through the pressure, the excessive dampness and evil qi in the body is permeated.
3. Make local capillary rupture, stimulate the body's immune system, and accelerate the body's recovery.

Because of these benefits, cupping is favoured by athletes worldwide to speed up recovery.
